Thought for this Week:
Family. Very often it’s a mess. It’s disruptive. It’s a happy place. It’s who we are! Family moulds us. Just like the church we choose to attend. However, going to church with other people to sit and hear a sermon or stand and sing a few songs doesn’t ask much of you. It certainly will never expose you. That’s why most folk prefer it. But community will. Engaging, volunteering, brushing up against those who think and act differently brings out… well? It reveals where we have yet to become holy, right at the very moment you are so keenly aware of how they have yet to become holy!
We experience incredible disappointments in our fellowship. We do and have, every last one of us, we hurt and we hurt one another. Not always intentionally.
But God has a plan for the salvation of humankind. Only one plan. His plan involves the church. We are the church. YOU are part of His plan. Amazing! Awesome! Sick!
Verse for this Week:
‘I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted’. Job 42:2
