CITC – Skewen

Thought for this Week:

As you may know I have been visiting SE Asia this past week. Perhaps the most precious moment of the trip was spending 2 hours with Ps. Kampeone who is 75 years old and totally on fire for God. Hearing how he started his first church with 26 people in 1990 and today from that small seed it has grown into a movement with over 900 churches and 200,000 people. Truly inspirational.

I asked him many questions and just drunk in what he was saying during our time together. Closing our time with him I asked, ‘If a person came to you asking for advice on how to live a strong Christian life? His reply was ‘If you want to live a strong Christian life, if you want to hear the call of God in your life. Just start serving.’ Simple!

Verse for this Week:

‘You then my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.’ 2 Timothy 2:1&2
