Thought for this Week:
It’s nearly Easter, and our opportunity to splurge on chocolate, especially if we have given up the substance made from the theobroma cacao seed during Lent! Easter though is much more than chocolate but we can use this precious time of the Christian calendar to reflect, give thanks that the meaning of Easter, the Cross-, is a present and personal reality in our lives.
The Cross-should be working itself through our lives every day, through Forgiveness (Ephesians 1:7&8); Redemption (Romans 6); Justification (Romans 3:23); Reconciliation (Romans 5:10) and Adoption / Sonship (Romans 8:17).
Verse for this Week:
In Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. Ephesians 1:7&8
