CITC – Skewen

Thought for this Week:

Jesus was a man of authority (eg Luke 4:32). Where you and I are concerned in our Christian walk no greater concept exists than the authority of Jesus Christ. This authority was ultimately contested on the cross and the act of death was more than sacrificial it was powerful. Christ in us makes us more than human. We have the strength and power to overcome everything that life throws at us.

That is hard for some of us to believe, and it makes us give up or live passive Christian lives. What we do with Christ’s authority determines what He does with us. He is not just good. He is God.

Verse for this Week:

They were amazed at his teaching, because his message had authority. Luke 4:32
