CITC – Skewen

Thought for this Week:

Are you too busy? Do you feel like everything is getting out of control and you are losing perspective of what really is important in your life? Maybe its time to take a moment and reevaluate.

Too often Communion with God is replaced by activity for God and activities that take us away from God. But God requires us to face up to our fears, our passions and our dreams. He wants our heart. Our heart does not respond to busyness, principles and programs. Our heart seeks passion whether it is in God, our partner, our children or hobbies, and God our creator knows this. It is why Jesus often taught and related to people by telling stories. His desire was to capture people’s hearts.

Your heart is crucial to Jesus. Our heart fuels our search for meaning, for wholeness, for a sense of truly being valued and alive. The voice that calls to us is none other than the voice of God. Are you hearing that small whisper in your spirit? We cannot hear His voice if we have lost touch with our heart.
